PloppleDrop — Privacy Policy
Effective date: 16 July 2026
Who we are
PloppleDrop (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is a casual mobile merge game. This policy explains what
information the app handles and how. Contact:
ploppledrop@gmail.com.
Our approach
PloppleDrop is designed for a young audience, so we deliberately collect as little as possible:
- No account, no login. You do not create an account or give us your name, email, or phone number to play.
- No personal data collection by us. Your game progress (high score, coins, unlocked creatures, cosmetics, settings) is stored only on your device. We do not upload your progress, and we cannot see it.
- Anonymous, aggregate stats only. We keep global tallies of in-game actions (for example, total Plopples dropped or merged across all players) to see how the game is played. These are aggregate totals only — they contain no personal information and no device identifiers, are not linked to you, and are not used to track you. We do not embed any third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.
On-device storage
The app saves your progress locally using your device’s standard app storage. This data never
leaves your device and is removed if you delete the app. On a phone or tablet it may be included
in your device’s own normal system backups (for example iCloud or Google backup) — that is your
device backing itself up, not anything we upload or can see.
Anonymous gameplay statistics
To understand how PloppleDrop is played, the app keeps simple global counters of in-game actions —
for example, how many Plopples are dropped, how many merges happen, or how often an ad fails to
load — and periodically sends them as aggregate totals to a small counter service we run.
These counters are anonymous and aggregate by construction: they are plain running
totals (e.g. “drops today: 12,034”). They include no account, no name, no device identifier,
no IP address, and no per-person or per-session records — just numbers added to a shared
tally. Because nothing is linked to you or your device, this is not “tracking,” needs no tracking
permission, and does not change our non-personalized advertising. You cannot be identified from this data.
Playing in your browser
You can also play PloppleDrop right in a web browser at ploppledrop.com/play — no
download and no sign-in. The browser version follows the same simple privacy rules as the app, with
a few browser-specific notes:
- The game runs on your device. The browser version runs entirely in your browser (client-side). We do not run your game on our servers.
- Your progress stays in your browser. Your high score, coins, unlocked creatures, cosmetics, and settings are saved in your browser’s local storage, on your device only. It never leaves your device and we cannot see it. To clear it, use your browser’s “clear browsing data” (or “clear site data”) for this site.
- The same anonymous, aggregate counters. Exactly like the app, the browser game adds to shared global tallies of in-game actions (for example, total drops or merges). These carry no account, no name, and no device identifier, and we set no cookies. They are the same anonymous totals described above — nothing is linked to you.
- Standard server logs. Like nearly every website, our web host keeps ordinary server logs that include visitors’ IP addresses. Under COPPA an IP address counts as a persistent identifier, so we treat it carefully: we use these logs only to keep the site running and secure, and we never use them to build a profile of anyone, to contact anyone, or for advertising.
- No real ads on the web. The browser version only ever shows a pretend ad prompt (a placeholder) — there are no real ads and no ad networks on the web version.
- Game Center is app-only. World ranks and achievements come from Apple Game Center and appear only in the iOS app; the browser version simply keeps your best scores locally.
Advertising
PloppleDrop shows ads through Google AdMob to support the free game. To respect our young audience:
- The app requests child-directed treatment from AdMob, limiting ads to family-appropriate, non-personalized content where required.
- Ads are never shown during active gameplay — only on the main menu, the game-over screen, and optional “watch to earn” reward moments you choose to start.
- Ads are always non-personalized and capped at a G (General audiences) content rating. We never request cross-app tracking, so the app never shows the iOS App Tracking Transparency prompt — there is no tracking to allow or deny.
Google’s handling of advertising data is governed by Google’s own policy:
policies.google.com/privacy and
AdMob & children.
Children’s privacy (COPPA / GDPR-K)
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Consistent with COPPA and the EU’s protections for minors:
- We collect no personal identifiers.
- Advertising is configured for child-directed treatment.
- There are no social features, chat, user-generated content, or external links to general-audience web content inside gameplay.
If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact
ploppledrop@gmail.com and we will address it promptly.
Purchases
The in-game shop uses only cosmetic items bought with in-game coins earned by
playing or by watching optional reward ads. Coins and cosmetics are non-personal and stored on-device.
Your choices
- Reset your data by deleting and reinstalling the app.
- Ad personalization is off by design — ads are always non-personalized, so there is no ad-tracking setting you need to change.
Changes
We may update this policy; the “Effective date” above will change accordingly. Material changes will be reflected in an app update.
